Default E/Me Earth, Wind & Fire

Elementalist have hard hitting spells but often take much too long to cast. So my solution knockdown + fast cast. Sure they're not the highest damaging spells but the number of times you can spam them and keep your enemy within range and on their backs should make for an interesting time.

Earth 10
Air 10
Fire 11

skills:

elemental attunement*
aura of restoration
whirlwind
shock
aftershock
flameburst
ethertrap

overview:

First let me saying I'm very new to GW and building so I'm very limited in pratical application and testing these builds. So most are just theory and fooling around.
But in theory you should be able to keep your oppent on his back while force feeding them aftershocks and flamebursts. And when your running low on energy you can use Ethertrap.
I think this build would be most useful gaurding your primary healer against multiple warriors. Let me know what you think

As an elemental primary/mesmer secondary, you do not get the fast cast attribute. You might want to put some points into domination or inspiration to help keep yourself going, though. I'm not a build expert, but I just started a e/me char. so I'm interested in how it turns out.

well i forgot to mention that whirlwind aftershock and Flameburst are only 3/4 sec cast time. So in a sense fast cast =P

Flame Burst seems somewhat out of place. It's meant for doing high damage in AoE fast. It's not for use in conjuction with knockdown spells.

Aura of Restoration is virutally useless for you since you have no Energy Storage.

Ethertap, I will assume means Energy Tap. Once again, you have no points in inspiration magic so you'll only gain 3 energy every 24 seconds. Not too great.

Whirlwind is only practical when your surrounded by attacking characters such as warriors.

You have Shock in there which means you want single target knockdown though most of your spells focus on area of effects.

In my opinion, you have too many skills from too many different attributes, some with 0 points invested in it. Ditch those and reduce your elemental attributes to Earth and Air. Fire is not meant for knockdowns so take it out. Maybe you could ditch Elemental Attunement and Whirldwind in place for Lightning Surge. That way you have two single target knockdowns. Or even use Thunderclap.

And since you've invested into the Earth *and* air skills, you might want to look into Iron Mist. It's a GREAT speed reduction spell.

Also take a look at Enervating Charge + Stoning. It gives you great single target damage, knockdown, and a condition which is only useful against warriors.
